About FinEd Academy
FinEd Academy was founded to make Finnish education expertise accessible to international students, teachers, schools and education institutions, regardless of language or background.
Since launching pilot operations in 2023, we have supported international clients by acting as a cultural, linguistic and educational bridge between Finland and global markets. What began as a focused higher education consultancy has developed into a wider education academy offering online consulting, teacher training, study visit coordination and educational development programs.
Following successful pilot projects and international cooperation, FinEd Academy was officially established in Helsinki, Finland.

Finnish Language Courses
Learn Finnish in Finland
Our Finnish language courses are designed for international students, professionals and families who want to develop practical Finnish language skills for everyday life, study and work.
Courses are available from beginner to intermediate levels and focus on real-life communication, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking and cultural understanding. The program helps participants build confidence in using Finnish in daily situations.
Participants receive educational guidance and learning support throughout the course. The program can be arranged online or in Finland, depending on availability and the participant’s needs.
Immersive School Study Tours
Experience Finnish Education in Practice
Our school study tours provide a structured and meaningful way to explore the Finnish education system in practice. Designed for school leaders, educators and education policymakers, the programs combine school visits, classroom observations, guided discussions and expert insights.
Participants gain direct exposure to Finnish school environments and learn how teaching, leadership, student support and school culture work in everyday practice. Based in Helsinki, FinEd Academy coordinates high-quality educational visits and supports participants throughout the program.
By the end of the program, participants gain a clearer understanding of Finnish education and practical ideas they can adapt to their own schools and institutions.
Professional Teacher Training & Pedagogical Leadership
Modern Teaching Through Finnish Education
Our teacher training programs are designed for schools, educators and education leaders who want to strengthen modern, student-centered teaching practices.
Inspired by research-based Finnish pedagogy, the program combines theory with practical classroom tools that educators can apply in their own teaching environments. The training focuses on inclusive learning, critical thinking, student participation, classroom interaction and pedagogical leadership.
Programs can be delivered online or in Finland, depending on the needs of the school, group or institution. Training is available in English, Russian, Turkish and Azerbaijani to ensure that key pedagogical concepts are clearly understood and practically implemented.
The goal is to help educators develop from traditional instructors into facilitators of learning, creating more engaging, inclusive and outcome-focused classrooms.
Summer & Winter Programs (Ages 12–18) Learn, Grow, and Experience Finland
Our Summer and Winter Programs are designed for young learners aged 12–18 who want to improve their English, build confidence and develop a broader international perspective.
Set within a Finnish educational environment, the programs combine language learning, personal development, leadership, public speaking, teamwork, career guidance and cultural understanding. Instead of traditional classroom teaching only, participants take part in interactive workshops, group projects and real-life learning activities inspired by Finnish pedagogical principles.
Students are also introduced to future study opportunities, university pathways and career options. By the end of the program, participants become more confident, independent and better prepared for their academic and personal journey.

FinEd Academy supports students in preparing for international university applications at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.

Shafiga Gasimzade
Founder & Lead Educational Development Expert
With a Master’s degree in Teacher Education from Tampere University and ongoing Professional Teaching Qualifications at the University of Helsinki, Shafiga combines strong academic expertise with hands-on experience within the Finnish education system.
She has been selected as one of the participants in the Education Development Experts Training Program organized by the Finnish National Agency for Education, further strengthening her expertise and professional network within the Finnish education sector.
Over the past several years, she has designed and delivered international educational programs, including school visits, teacher training, and student development initiatives.
Her work focuses on bridging Finnish education with international contexts, supporting institutions and individuals in understanding and applying Finnish pedagogical approaches in practical and culturally relevant ways.
Fluent in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian, English, and with working proficiency in Finnish, she works directly with diverse international audiences, providing accessible and high-quality educational experiences.
Shafiga brings a results-oriented and solution-focused approach, supporting clients in their educational, professional, and institutional development.

Educational Program Only
FinEd Academy is responsible only for the educational program, training content, study visit coordination, scheduled program activities, learning materials and certificates.
Flights, accommodation, airport transfers, local transportation, meals, travel insurance and visa services are not included in the educational program fee. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for all travel-related services separately.
Visa Document Support
FinEd Academy may provide program-related documents for visa applications, such as confirmation letters, program schedules, payment confirmations and invitation/support letters related to the educational program.
Participants are fully responsible for submitting their own visa application, booking embassy/VFS appointments, paying visa fees, arranging travel insurance and providing all personal documents required by the embassy.
FinEd Academy does not guarantee visa approval. The final visa decision is always made by the embassy or relevant immigration authority.
Payment and Refund Policy
To confirm participation, the participant must pay the first payment / registration fee. This first payment is non-refundable, as it covers administrative work, program reservation, preparation of program documents, visa support documents and coordination costs.
If the participant cancels the program or the visa application is refused, the first payment / registration fee remains non-refundable. The participant may request to transfer the registration to another available program date, subject to availability.
